Long-ass boot times and BD-J disallowing you to resume a title after powering off your player. Two things that make DVD look more advanced and user-friendly than BD. Pisses me off, too. Sure, you can use boomarks to save your spot, but you still have to reboot the disc, watch all 10 minutes of unskippable warning screens, and navigate the often shitty menus (I am talking to you, Universal! The Office BDs have ass menus, while the DVDs are user-friendly, simple, quick and elegant!)
FIX IT!

Hey Beckman,
You are so right about boot times. It's got to do with the much greater media size (up to 50 gigs) and the new enormous copyprotect.
The load times are getting faster on newer machines.
I'm just about to post a review on the new Oppo player and it really is the fastest loader I've encountered yet.
Still can't do anything about all the promo crap on the front end.
I believe that when you pay for a movie you should not have to watch all that ad crap everytime you boot up the disc.
Some BD's with VC-1 codecs do allow your player to resume exactly where you left off. The Star Trek Blu-rays for the original series get remembered even on my PS3.
