Seeing it tonight, IMAX 3-D.
Will be back tomorrow to post my thoughts.
Has anyone else seen it?

Yes. I thought the visuals were groundbreaking, but the story was old news. This is a must see in 3D... best 3D I've seen in a theater to date.

Yes, the story was a little too "Dances With Wolves" all over again. But the visuals and the details within the movie were incredible.

Couldn't agree more with you two. Worth it for the spectacle.
Most of my favorite 3D moments were not the action either, stuff like the command station, cockpits views, and the opening with the pods.

Saw it in Vmax (almost iMax) 3d and it has got to be one of the best applications of technology in a movie that i have seen in a long time. A predictable story with no twists or turns just jaw dropping special effects that were helped by the fact that everything was touched by CGI making it all seem to fit and feel natural within the world in question.

I liked the 3D, and think it's moderately revolutionary...but I did not like the movie all that much. Just a badly written, sappy movie...with mediocre production design, boring, recycled music, and a boring lead.
