Well?

I saw this yesterday and I must say...it completely sucked. QT has totally lost his edge. This was like watching a 45 old man realize he just can't get it up any more. Very disappointing 2.5 hours to say the least.

I was joking. I 100% loved it. Every second of it. People said it was too long, I could have watched an 8 hour movie with people speaking QT's lines in subtitles. It was by far the best movie I've seen this year and Pitt and Waltz should easily get Oscars for their performances.

I and everyone else that I've seen it with (been to the theater to see it twice already) agrees that it could have been 5 hours long and it still would have been short! Amazing QT dialog, amazing camera work and amazing performances all around!!!

6 out of 5 for me and this has to be equal to or better than Pulp Fiction for me.

Kill Bill is my favorite QT film, but this is close... and I agree... this could be more enjoyable for me than Pulp Fiction. I love PF...but this was just great fun to watch.

It's got the same shell as PF, but the Basterds just has more MEAT. It's a more mature film in that it doesn't have to be cool, it just tells the story in the most amazing way possible and doesn't skip the smallest of details. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Finally saw it last night and loved it.

QT has just out done himself by disregarding history and just telling another well written rollicking adventure.

Loved the use of so many different languages so easily and slight touches like if a person does not speak the language giving the viewer not subtitles till someone who does intervenes. It is a beautiful way of switching perspectives for characters.

It was good, but not great. Pacing issues stopped it from being great. But still a lot of great moments, for sure. 7/10. Might go up when I see it again.
