Hey gang,
This may sound like an idiot question.
I have yet to download a game for my PS3 through the Playstation network.
Honestly between my reptile biz and the work involved sine I took on these sites back in Dec.... well I don't get to play many vid games.
One of my rare joys on PS3 is Ratchet and Clank.
After playing the PS3 game I'm eager for the Quest For Booty download game to get me ready for the Fall new disc title. I can't seem to be able to find the game, let alone download it.
Can I buy it from my PC and then use a flashdrive to transfer it to my PS3?
Anyone care to tell me how to get it all done?
I'd be grateful for the help.
Thanks,
Gino

Teedub can correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm not quite schooled on PS3 downloads, I'll just take what I know from 360 downloads.  I would assume if it is a PSN or downloadable game, you would need to get it online.  You wouldn't be able to buy it on PC and transfer it.  But Dub might be able to direct you better where on PSN it is.  R&C is awesome though.

Here is the official website:

Gino, you have to buy it directly from the PSN store I believe.

When you go to the PSN Store, head to Downloadable Games, and then view All Games.  Head to the "R" section and it should be there.  Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty.

Yeah I figured that.
What I wanted to know is can I download it to my PC then transfer to PS3.
That's how I do updates. I download on my PC and then use my flash to transfer it to the PS3.
Where it's at the wi-fi cuts in and out, so it's hard to download directly.

I have no idea about transferring game purchases in that manner.  I found the Wi-Fi to be a little to finicky and definitely not fast enough for me, so I ran a hard line to the basement.  It was good for streaming audio, but video would sometimes cut out, and using the store was too sluggish for me.  I'm the impatient type.  Wink

If the signal's not strong enough, try moving the router to a better location or get a signal booster of some kind.  I never really had a problem with signal strength, just the speed and consistency.  When our home phone rang, it would interfere with the signal for a split second.  I wasn't having it.

Anyway, back to your original question.  After a little digging, it seems the only PSN purchases for PC are for the PSP, not PS3.  :O

Yea, as already been mentioned, if its anything like the XBLA store they don't allow transfers like that.  It would open the door for pirating in a big way.
