Downloaded the demo today and apart from the fact that it was 2.1 gig for about 20 minutes of game play (very sloppy in my opinion) good fun and I think it will be something I give a go to when released.

I heard the combat is actually really fun.  Is there some in the demo to try out?  How'd you like it?

The only thing that bums me out about this game is the PS3 version has parts where you can fight as Joker.  Sarah really wanted to play that but heard it was a PS3 exclusive and got all meh on me  Grin.  We'll see if they build it back in through DLC later.  But I am very interested in the game, the first ten minutes trailer I saw on the web the other day was awesome, I only hope that the rest of the game seems to be as good as well.

It's decent, not total control, but enough button mashing to be content. The counters are the shit though! I'm a huge Batman fan and this is the first Bats game I've ever felt needed a first day purchase.

Just bought this through Amazon since I had some credit balance and ECA discount.  Can't wait.

The counters alone are reason enough to play this game.  They vary so much, I can't believe that amount of care put into each animation.  The demo is short (and a much smaller filesize on the PS3 apparently), but you'll get a great feel for the combat and stealth aspects of the game.  I'll likely pick this up a little further down the line.

The playable Joker elements for PS3 were exclusively purchased and developed by Sony.  They will never see a 360 release.  (Confirmed by Sony and Microsoft reps at PAX.)

That's a really crappy thing to do but I blame both Sony and MS.  (Since MS did something similar with GTA IV).  And Batman is not a system seller for me, so shame on PS3, shame on PS3 indeed.

Shame on you for not owning a PS3.  Wink

Seriously though, how can you wag your finger at Sony for developing exclusive content?  Microsoft does it all the time in order to keep their market share high. They throw copious amounts of money at developers to keep games and DLC exclusive to the 360. I say kudos to Sony for the attempt.

Meh, Shame on PS3 for not providing backwards compatibility in their new models  Grin, but seriously I did say I blamed both companies for this chicanery.  In the end, I'll just point my finger a little more at PS3 for not allowing me to play Arkham like I want to.   Wink

I can't argue with that one.  Touché.

At least the new slim PS3 can bitstream HD audio!

No third party these days wants to limit their audience, so DLC is just the new third-party exclusive.  Its just the way the business is going.  At least these days you can get the game on both systems.

I'll be picking this up about six months from now.  Thinking of starting a blog called "Gamer On A Budget".

Finished it last night, I still have a few riddler's challenges to complete but unlocked the majority of the additional content. I love all the detail on the models in the game it is just amazing.

Now the question is do I play it through again in hard?
