By "people" you mean myself and yourself, right Ked?

Cron:  That's what I call a solid investment.  Thankfully, MadWorld comes out soon, and I'm hoping for good things from that title.  Also, if House Of The Dead: Overkill hits a lower price I'll be all over that.  Our Wii has been getting plenty of play with the wife still working on Zelda: Twilight Princess, and I'm using it for Super Mario RPG.

Yeah, a while ago.  I recommend dusting off your "White Gamecube x2" and hitting that up.  It holds up really well.

If you had read my column on a weekly basis, you would know that  Wink

I hope more people pick up the Genesis collection, according to mygamercard.net only 20,000 people registered with the site have picked it up.  (compared to over a million for Halo 3 for example).  But I really think more people will pick it up overtime.

Unfortunately the big sell-through would have been at release.  It's priced low enough that it could easily be an impulse purchase for those that are unaware of it's existence, but having Sonic on the cover and in the title will work against this collection selling well, IMO.  Sure Sonic is the "mascot", but this collection has less than 10% Sonic content.  It first glance, the average fan may think "another Sonic collection?", and pass it by.  I'm not a marketing wizard, but if they removed the name "Sonic" from the title, they may actually have moved more copies.  Just a thought.  As an impulse purchase it still DOES have legs, though.

I'll go along with that.  Sonic games don't have that great of a track record lately anyhow and people probably had bad flashbacks of the first Sonic game for the 360.  If they had just called it the Sega Genesis collection, it probably would have done better.  Rest assured it will sell copies here and there.   If nothing else, maybe some random people will find this thread and think twice about purchasing it.  One can hope anyway.   Grin

I hope some random people see this thread and give it a consideration.  I was there on release day, like a total nerd.

With a few exceptions, this discussion could have been had with a simple phone call between us.  Wink

"Random" in the sense that neither of you two would share an interest in this collection.  And that you are both sharing the same man-love for each other.

There is nothing random about that....that takes some intense planning and preperation.
