Hi Everyone,

Since starting UpcomingDiscs.com and this forum community almost 8 years ago, Rod and I have done our best to grow these sites/communities into something that we are very proud of.  In the last year or so, with many other ventures taking up our time, we have not giving the effort towards these sites that they deserve.  Therefore, it is with mixed emotions that I announce that we have sold UpcomingDiscs.com and FeatureForum.com. While it was a hard decision to come to, we feel that we have sold the sites to someone who has the passion and drive to take these sites to the next level Gino Sassani - who will take ownership of both UpcomingDiscs.com and FeatureForum.com effective Dec. 1, 2008.

While we are parting ways with these two sites, Rod & I will continue to own/operate both IntotheBlu.com and HDDb.net.  I will also continue to be a participant in the forum, and may even write the occasional guest appearance review at UpcomingDiscs.com.

Stay tuned for a number of changes that Gino has in mind for both sites - starting with the newly added review discussion/feedback section of the forum: http://featureforum.com/index.php?board=14.0

I have complete faith in Gino and his ability to return UpcomingDiscs and this forum back to their glory days... and I ask that you stay along for the ride.

It was a great 8 years and I thank all of you for your continued support!

Cheers,
Jeremy Frost & Rod Edwards

I want to thank Jeremy and Rod for starting this great review site.
It will be my goal to nourish it and continue to allow it to grow.
I invite all of you to continue to enjoy these sites and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or feedback.
Look for exciting announcements over the next few months.
I have been writing here for about 7 years, so already feel a part of the community.
Enjoy the site.
Take Care,
Gino

<Gino> Cron, we're gonna need to go ahead and move you downstairs into storage B. We have some new people coming in, and we need all the space we can get. So if you could just go ahead and pack up your stuff and move it down there, that would be terrific, mmmK? Great...

<Cron> Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler...

Hey Guys,
No lay-offs. No one's going to the basement.
It is my hope that you will continue to participate as you always have been.
Yes, there will be changes, but I hope you will all find them to be good ones.
No one's getting kicked to the curb here.
Please feel free to provide whatever feedback and comments you have.
It's not my intention to take this site away from you, rather to provide you with an even better playground.
If, for whatever reason, you have comments or feedback you don't wish to make public, you may feel free to contact me. Gino@upcomingdiscs.com.
I've been here for 7 years, so it's not like we're going over to the dark side.
Enjoy,
Gino

Yeah, cause in the event of a lay-off; I'd be the first to go.  Bad attitude, turns in reviews late, has pictures of hot women in his articles, the usual.  Can I get a raise?   Wink

This is good news IMO. Gino, good luck and if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I've been a little busy lately and haven't contributed to the site as much as I would have liked these past few months, but going forward I would like to continue helping. However, I have yet to upgrade to a Blu-Ray player so I don't know how much help I will be.

Lurk, post, lurk, post...

Not too much actually.

Provide answers to questions no one asked.

Supply opinions that no one requested.

General blah-blah-blah.

Thank you for that.
Blu-rays will not be a problem.
For the first year, by my agreement with Jeremy, we will post very limited Blu-ray reviews.
I will be splitting any Blu I get with his site for a year.
I will be writing for both sites on Blu.
Once the year is up we'll be posting any Blu that we can, and help will be greatly appreciated.
Any reviewer here who hasn't contacted me yet, should write me ASAP.
Take Care,
Gino

Welp, as long as I stay firmly footed, I would be moving to blu-ray in about 6 months.  So that will go along great with the agreement.  Sad, I think the only reason right now I want to move to Blu-Ray is get that copy of Daredevil they just put out recently.
