Nice review Gino!

http://upcomingdiscs.com/2008/11/21/tropic-thunder/

I saw this film in the theater, and laughed my ass off.  It was much more then I expected from the trailer.  Tom Cruise was a great surprise... I did not even know he was in this film, and he stole the show.  I did not notice too much added footage to the directors cut version... can anyone single out which scenes were added/extended?

Cheers,

I don't know how I missed this thing when it first came out.
Unfortunately that means I don't know where that 13 minutes comes from.
I'd love for someone to point out the new stuff.
Take Care,

I dunno, it was decent.  Had some good laughs, but I saw much more potential out of it than what was delivered.  Robert Downey was great for sure.  Maybe it was those pedestrian gags (i.e. everything with Tom Cruise dancing to rap music) that came up every so often that just didn't do it for me.

Yeah, there were a few parts that I didn't jive with. Over-all I liked it, though. Got the BD coming in the mail.

If anybody finds a Theatrical/EE comparison, be sure to post a link. Been too long since I have seen it for me to know what'll be new, probably.

I have to agree with you guys.
I really didn't like the Cruise stuff all that much, particularly the dance moves.
I know a lot of folks loved him, that's cool.
If you didn't like that stuff, stay away from the Tom Cruise Make-Up Test feature. It's not really about the great make-up but 2 minutes of Cruise dancing.
