Doomsday - Neil Marshall is quickly becoming one of my "directors to watch". I loved The Descent and Doomsday was another kick-ass action/gore-fest that delivered the goods. The middle kind of sagged for me a bit, but picked up again at the end. All in all a great action movie reminiscent of Aliens and The Road Warrior.

Speaking of kick-ass, fun movies, I watched Feast last night and enjoyed the ride. It's amatuerish at points, and resembles movies like From Dusk Til Dawn and Demon Knight a little too much, but all in all it was great. "Monster cock stuck in the door" is probably one of the best lines in movie history and will now be my signature on this site.

Bourne Ultimatum - I was about to start a thread saying that this series was way overrated since the first 2 movies are OK but nothing great. That was until I saw the third one, which I think is easily the best of the series. *** (out of ****)

Punisher: War Zone - I've always been a huge Punisher fan and was amazed that the previous 2 movies failed to bring a decent Punisher movie to the big screen. I mean it shouldn't be that hard. The first film was a low-budget foreign film, but not horrible, and the second one changed too much to really even be called a Punisher movie. The Punisher in Tampa Bay? I don't think so. But War Zone finally gets the tone and origin story right, and delivered a fun ride full of gore. ***

I'd give Bourne another half star, but otherwise, we're on the same page.

I think Bourne deserves the praise it gets.  Definitely some of the better spy movies made, and has ushered in a new interest in visceral hand to hand fighting in movies.

The Bourne movies don't have plots. They are all the same. I will admit they are all solid, watchable movies, but the hype is overblown. I'll still take James Bond over Bourne any day.

Frank watched the new Terminator movie the other day, so I watched the new Night at the Museum movie.  It was fun, though not as good as the first one.  Probably will eventually add both Night at the Museum movies to  my collection of mind numbing entertainment.

Yeah, it was pretty funny. Except everybody in my theater was acting like a retard and laughing loudly every two seconds, making me and my friends completely unable to hear any of the follow-up jokes and cracks.  Angry

Same thing happened to me!

Finally watched the classic A Clockwork Orange last night... and I must say it's one of those rare classic movies that is actually as good as billed. There are some slow patches, and the directing isn't as "brilliant" as some may suggest, but it's a very great film... I only wish they would have filmed the ending from the UK release of the book."

We saw Up last night.  It was good...not really sure it was worth the 10.50 a ticket to see it in 3D, but it was cool.  Definitely recommend it for people with children, or people who are still children at heart.
