This is what my 360 does over 1080i and component, because its native is 720p.  Its not too much of an issue usually, but every so often I get a game that has a HUD on the side and shit is cut off.  I can't wait to get an HDMI TV.

The first pic is actually via HDMI, and that DVD has the same amount of overscan on a component 480p player and the PS2. So...there doesn't really seem to be a remedy, and I don't know how to adjusted that shit in the TV's service menu.

No, lol, why not take a look at the little booklet that came with the TV (otherwise known as the INSTRUCTION MANUAL), I'm sure theres some tips in there on how to correct the overscan.

But, TV signals are the worst to judge overscan. I would set your overscan with a DVD, that way you know when you watch the important stuff you're good to go.

Uhhh....no TV I ever saw lets you correct the overscan unless it's in a service menu, meaning service techs are supposed to do it, and going into that menu (which requires a secret code that you have to find online) voids your warranty and if you accidentally change certain settings you destroy your TV. In the consumer menus you can change a few things, you can change the center of the picture vertically, but not scale it down to reduce overscan.

Well then. Center it as best you can and get a tech down, because that's a lot of overscan I'm seeing in your pics there.

I have the same problem. I always thought it was the networks.

Silly me. Doesn't bother me much.

Now, what was I doing? Oh yeah...

That malt looks fantastic, but the rest of it can go in the trash.

That's not a malt, you silly Canadian! It's a Frostee. Neither a milkshake, nor ice cream. It exists within the margins. But certainly not a malt, unless they now have malted Frostees there...haven't been in a while.

"Frosty" is the trademark name given by Wendy's. It's a chocolate malt by definition, you silly American.
