OK, the part in the park was a really touching moment. I was almost crying for a minute during that scene. A really nice, heart-breaking little moment for the show. It was the only time the show really moved me. I usually was like "Hmm, interesting..." but not "OMFG so awesum!!!!111".

I do want the show to come back. I doubt it will though. TV is a wasteland. When a good show like Lost of Heroes becomes a hit, it's a fluke. This show will get pulled and be replaced by some Moment of Truth fucking trash. Sad

Reality TV has screwed up everything. When a network exec sees a cheaply made reality show bring in millions upon millions of viewers, he's going to look at the expensive critical darling and yank it when it only performs decently like COSC has so far.

That is why I think they should trim down the amount of episodes. I think most shows are bloated at 20-24 episodes as it is. Cut that number in half and you have more action-packed episodes.

Matter of fact, I haven't seen a 12 episode season show not be better than a 20-24 episode season show.

Maybe only Lost... but that is it.

Well, networks don't like to give shows such short runs, because then people don't really tune in that often because it's hardly ever a new episode. That format works for pay TV like HBO and Showtime because those customers pay closer attention to what is on and when, and don't just tune in every week expecting a new episode.

I think.

So, is this show worth checking out when it hits DVD, or should I just pass?

What say you?!?

It's getting renewed for a second season. Good news.

I never did finish watching the last 3 episodes. I had them on my DVR but deleted them after I figured there was something better to watch. I might check to see if they are on hulu.com

I just quit this show. It started to become one of those shows that was a chore to watch and it was going nowhere. I did hear that one of the female cast is getting killed off, my bet is it's Derek's girlfriend from the future. Big effin' whoop.

I lasted the first 3 episodes... so you hung in there a lot longer than I did. The story just doesn't lend itself to the episodic format all that well.

Season 2 sadly hasn't been great. Some good episodes, but it's treading water too much. Especially since it returned from hiatus. 22-episode seasons were apparently a bad idea.

Oh, and it was Riley who got killed off last night.
