Bought my tickets for Friday night. I want to go Thursday at midnight but I'd be dragging ass the next day and I am going to a better theater on Friday anyway. Reviews are solid, I am excited.

I don't know, I am hoping people drop by and see some discussion going on.

Yeah Prometheus is my #1 must-see movie this summer. I wonder what Beckmen thinks about it so far.

Haha...well Prometheus is what this all evolved into. Looks great...can't wait.

Anyone?

Well, it's been a few weeks...has anyone seen it?

*looks around....nothing but silence*

I thought it was one of the best summer popcorn movies I have ever seen. So much going on on screen, excellent visuals and action...maybe a little lacking in the emotional department, but it was a thrill ride none the less. Nolan is the man!!!

True Blood has been awesome this season. Best season of the show so far.

Yes, the story was a little too "Dances With Wolves" all over again. But the visuals and the details within the movie were incredible.

Seeing it tonight, IMAX 3-D.

Will be back tomorrow to post my thoughts.

Has anyone else seen it?

I never responded to this thread. I did by a new Yamaha receiver, 7.1...can't remember which model number. Anyway, I love it... and I need to post some pictures of my new sweet-ass set-up.

I wonder how it will play in the theater you see it in. I saw it about a month ago when it was still in limited release and the theater was packed and buzzed to see it. I don't imagine it will play well in a mostly empty theater...but then again it might freak you out too.

I have not seen Orphan, but the reviews were pretty bad and I already know the twist ending. I'll wait for it on HBO.

Favre has the Vikes at 7-1... can't deny the success he's had so far.

Damn Hauschka missed that FG that would have beaten the Vikings 2 weeks ago.

I still think the Saints are the cream of the NFC crop.

I also wonder how the Eagles would fare against the Vikings.

Man, it was a fun month for horror movies. I watched Paranormal Activity, Trick r Treat and now The House of the Devil all in October.

The House of the Devil was debuted on HDNet last Wednesday. I think it had a really small release last weekend so chances are you missed it unless you saw it on HDNet.

Anyway, excellent, excellent movie. Felt like a 70's era horror movie up there with The Exorcist, The Omen and Halloween. Think Halloween mixed with Rosemary's Baby. Long camera shots, long takes, creepy music, not much happens in the first hour...but then the last 30 mins are a complete sensory overload.

I loved this movie. I am torn between what is better, this or Paranormal Activity....and I loved PA.

You guys have to find a way to see this movie if you're into horror movies.

Did you ever see it?
15  General Entertainment / Movies / Re: Trick r Treat on: Nov 02, 2009, 03:40:13 PM
My friend called me today and asked about it to make sure he was renting the right "Trick R Treat" movie. He was going to order it from Netflix. Something about watching a Halloween movie like that in the middle of November is wrong. It's like watching A Christmas Story in the middle of January.
